Women at Risk of Foot Pain from High Heel Shoes

Boston (DbTechNo) - Results of a new study show that wearing bad shoes when you are young can result in many foot problems later in life.

Shoes such as high heels, flip flops, sandals and slippers fit into the category of foot wear that is deemed not to be very “healthful” because they lack proper foot support.

They may look cool and stylish but when it comes down to it, they may result in severe foot problems later in life.

According to the researchers, from Boston University School of Public Health, women are more prone to foot pain as they age because of the types of shoes they wear differing from the type that men choose to wear.

For example, those high heels that so many women love to wear, may look hot, but finding one woman that will tell you how much she loves wearing them for their comfort is impossible.

Researchers analyzed results of data collected on 3,378 adults who participated in the Framingham Foot Study.
